I didn't realize the difference between the 'paper vrs mica'. I guess I just lumped all the 'postage stamp' style (with the pretty colored dots) as 'mica'. My bad. I should have known better, as the ones leaking oil were a LOT larger.
A lot of the older equipment I have restored had split caps (good 'ole Black Beauties).... Those were always nfg............

Maybe a typo Ron, but you mentioned mica caps leaking oil? Did you have
eaking caps in the PS section or were the micas in the RF section
eaking.
I have a URM 25F that has given my yeoman service for years and still
orks well. The only problem I have ever had was the modulation quit.
y barely moving the balance pot on the bridge a bit then back, it
tarted again and has continued to work.
I am curious about the leaking caps.

On the URM-25D, you will probably find that the mica caps in the unit
are cracked and leaking oil. Mine were. I replaced all the 'leaking'
(both electrical and physically!!) caps and checked the tubes.
