Also ask for more "specific" photos...they pull their photos of the rigs on
the internet(just via a google search or whatever). One fellow sent me a
photo of a rig and I asked for an interior shot....he sent one, but was of a
whole different model. Press the guy for details but the BIG give away is
the demand for a Western Union Money Order....red flags should be a flying
as soon as that sentence crops up!

     I agree with you.  But I can also get a pretty good feel for 
somebody with some conversation.  If they have parts for sale, they 
usually have an interest in radio, and will converse.  Most crooks will 
show themselves just by not understanding some terms or other such 
things.  You can't converse intelligently about things you know nothing 
about, and that usually trips them up.  I've been burnt once in 25+ 
years of doing this, so my method seems to work pretty good for me.
