My memory sometimes gets me in trouble also but I have bookcases filled with 
the real thing.

Re the ad, I was going from memory because my stash of archived CQ and QST 
ads is on another computer.  OK, my memory wasn't exactly right, but I was 
sort of close.

I'll have to try the Pepsi for cleaning a chassis; but I wouldn't put a Coke 
in anything (let alone myself).  For a grade school science experiment, I 
once dropped a roofing nail into a "small Coke" -- the kind that came in the 
short glass bottles; and they were always somewhat stronger than the "big 
Coke."  (Does anyone remember the "BC Powder and a Coke" for headaches... 
maybe they didn't know about that in yankee-land, hmm).

The nail was completely dissolved in a little over 3 days.

Don't think I'd use Coke on aluminum.

Pepsi, on the other hand, is good for what ails ya.  Plus, it was born in 
NC.  New Bern, to be exact....
