Hi Rod:
I've used silver solder for years to re-solder end points that were exposed
to high temp in the final compartment but not where I've cut a wire and
re-soldered over sleeves. Tried the silver solder and voila, works fine.

Had several direct inquiries as to why I need to rejoin severed wires????
The loading cap in the SR-2000 needs to be high potted at 600 volts after
reinstalling or tightening the mounting screws to test for warp. Severing
the wire and reattaching with a removable sleeve simplifies the process.

Thanks all and a great day to you. Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
