Hi Ed:
Don’t care if an original manual. What I’m looking for are the “C, D, and E” level SR-400 schematics. Look at the part number on the lower right of the schematic and it will have a suffix if it’s not the original schematic. I know that the Hallicrafters engineers made a number of significant changes to arrive at the Cyclone II which is the “F” level. Most notably was the removal of a switching diode around the crystal filter, used in the CW and Tune mode. The harmonics created some ugly spurs. I have a hand written engineering note that would indicate that problem was fixed in what would be the “C” level.
The “F” level radio is an excellent performer that you will not likely part with.
When aligned and working properly, the final versions of the SR-400, SR-400A, and SR-2000 are superb radio’s.
Yes, I have a fairly good inventory of SR-400, 400A, and SR-2000 parts --- some NOS, or I can point you to other sources.
Kindest regards Jim K9AXN

Good afternoon Ed:
Have a NOS carrier POT ---- send your address and I'll drop it in the mail.
It's a Hallicrafters replacement part. While your at the Bal Mod, check the
5 - 25 cap: if it's ever been cleaned with Deoxit, it may be bad. If you
have an original manual, please let me know what level it is --- I'm looking
for the "C, D, and E" levels. Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
