I spent about 8 weeks as a production tech on the WRR-2A before getting a
transfer to the commercial division Service Dept. An interesting radio but I
didnt want to be married to it. But I was still stuck with the Wadley as I
became the lone tech on the HRO-500. All the older techs wanted nothing to
do with that SS stuff. But first I was drafted into R&D to help on the
NCL-2000 before they taught me the HRO. National also had a RA-17 in R&D.
The Wadleys here are a RA-17 (UK built version) and a HRO-500.
