Hi Jim and All,
Generally speaking: many people spray too heavy of a coat of paint. It is
best to spray a thin coat and then after it is dry, spray a second thin
coat.
This isn't just a problem when painting a radio cabinet, the same rules
apply when painting cars. Especially custom or show cars with fancy paint
schemes!
Too heavy of a coat or too many coats, results in a number of problems,
including chipping.
