[Hallicrafters] Short metal tube mystery

There were some small short metal tubes, the only one that comes to mind instantly is the 6H6 dual diode. I have a couple of old Navy rcvrs packed away that use these little metal tubes in some positions, can't recall the tube numbers right now?

Just imagine an old metal 6L6 cut down very short with a slightly domed top and you got it.
