[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters S-40A tuning slugs

Schematic for S-40A shows 7 tuning slugs in the 12 front end / L.O. coils. 
Receiver on the bench has only 4 slugs.

Can anyone tell me the correct number & placement of the front end / L.O. coil slugs in the S-40A?
