[Hallicrafters] SX115 and HT32-B OR SX117 and HT-44

I love my 117/44 combo. My only negative is the sweep tube finals are difficult (touchy) to neutralize and prone to self-oscillation. The 44 also runs VERY hot. Phasing ssb generation makes pretty audio.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] SX115 and HT32-B OR SX117 and HT-44

Hi gang,

Looks like I may not be able to afford the SX115 and HT-32B that a friend is selling...SO,

What would I miss out on if I could find a real nice SX117 andHT-44?? (AND does anyone here have a pair to sell?)
Please tell me all the pro's and con's on both setups.
Thanks and 73,
Lee, KC9CDT
