Roger, don't feel like the Lone Ranger - I think there are two kinds of 
Hallicrafters restorers...those who've ruined a dial scale and those who 
will ;-)

Seriously, don't clean the screen printed dial glass with anything 
wet.   Even water can dissolved the inks used back then.   The only 
thing I use anymore is a dry soft artists brush, and take it easy even then.
