The SR-150 and 160 work very well with 6883/8032 tubes subbed for the 12DQ6s.  
The 6883 is a 6146 with a 12 volt filament.  About all you need to do is change 
the socket wiring a bit, change the plate cars as the ones for the 6883 are 
larger, and reset the bias.  The current new price for 6883s is around $21-$22 
each from Richardson Electronics.

Given the relative scarcity of sweep tubes, since there's no longer anything for 
them to sweep, this conversion makes a lot of sense.  The radio works better 
too.
