Hi Greg,

The SR-160 actually calls for the 12DQ6B. The 12DQ6A and the 12DQ6B are almost the same tube. The A version has a higher plate dissipation but not by much. The plain 12DQ6 is not rated for higher than 440 volts plate voltage the A and B are rated to 770vdc.
