When you add in the value of your time to restore one of these, the monetary
return gets eaten up pretty quickly. I'm in the middle of a HT-32 that had
chassis rust, and the unit is almost completely stripped so I can paint the
SSB generator and main chassis. It took two days just to mask the rivet
heads, sockets and other non-removable parts as part of the prep work before
I can paint. I figure this is something that I will keep and use as long as
I can. Otherwise, it would have paid to find one in good comestic condition
and just worry about the electrical rehab work.
