Hi All,
I really enjoyed reading about all of your different historical
contributions, personal experiences and stories about the incredible
Hallicrafters SX-62. I would really appreciate it if one of you would
volunteer to go through all of the different posts and combine them into a
single document. Being careful to keep each post in chronological order and
cred it to the person who contributed it by name and callsign.
Then post the completed edited document to this list.
Once posted here it will be stored in the systems archives. When others need
this information, they can go to the HHI web site and search the
Hallicrafters archives for it. As well as search the 'mailman.qth.net'
archives by any other means, as well. I believe the lists now hold at least
all of the list posts for the past five years, as opposed to the past three
years.
I will also store the edited document in my personal BA-Tech folders. These
contain technical, historical and educational tips about a variety of
vintage rigs, not just Hallicrafters! When one of you needs to know
something about some thing, I check my own archives for it. If I have it, I
send it to the person in need. Although depending on the topic, I also post
some requests answers to this list for all to see and enjoy.
Ham Radio, especially vintage radio, is all about sharing technical wisdom,
time honored tips and tricks for fixing almost anything and where to write
or call or go to get assistance with just about anything!
Thank you in advance to whomever steps up and blends the number of SX-62
posts into one.
