[Hallicrafters] SX-115 3 of them

The SX-115 is a great receiver; well engineered  and with high quality 
mechanical construction. It's a triple conversion special  purpose receiver 
though, not general coverage and with its 5KC wide passband and  single 6AQ5 
probably not the best receiver for AM. And it does not cover 160.  Record price 
observed here was slightly over $4K about eight years ago. Very  nice 
examples can bring $2K.

last  week 3 different SX-115's were up for bids.  Newer design and much  
better than an SX-88.

Bill Halligan liked the SX-115 so much that he  sent one to the Vatican 
(HV1CN) rather than his latest SX-101.
