so do the AVC and Cathode bypass caps they don't have any significant  
voltages across them either but they are plagued with leaakage just  like all 
the other capacitors in the rcvr.

Yes,  superb. Looks pristine. I'm an SX-88 novice: what are the  unlabelled
hrome knobs beneath each tuning dial used for?
If I had  this, plus the Tek 570 tube tester currently on auction, I would
ie  happy.
