[Hallicrafters] ebay SX-88 - Wow!

I don't think the capacitors had any leakage when they were brand new.I recently recapped an SX-88 (including the 2nd  mixer stage) and ALL of the original BB capacitors had SIGNIFICANT leakage resistance problem.Replaced all of them ,IF passband works as should.

For some reason he believes that the factory selected the BB leakage as part 
f the filter circuit.....
Any comments on that?

 Interestingly the guy didn't replace  the black beauities mounted on the 
 wafer switches (that control the IF passband).They are just as bad as the 
 other.
