Interestingly the guy didn't replace  the black beauities mounted on the wafer switches (that control the IF passband).They are just as bad as the other.

Yes, superb. Looks pristine. I'm an SX-88 novice: what are the unlabelled
hrome knobs beneath each tuning dial used for?
If I had this, plus the Tek 570 tube tester currently on auction, I would
ie happy.
