[Hallicrafters] Wafer contact identification

I'm working on a Hallicrafters SX-28A and have a question on wafer switch contact identification.  I think that Hallicrafters labeled wafers from back to front, e.g. SW9-1, SW9-2, SW9-3 the -1 is towards the back of the receiver and -3 towards the front.  The question I have is:  In looking at the aft side of SW9-3 I see six contacts - are the contacts numbered clockwise or counter-cw?  Or is there no convention?  Thanks.
