In a WELL VENTILATED area do the following:
Pint jar and mineral spirits. Take top off sprayer, dump unused paint
into proper can, Wipe off underside of sprayer and outside of dip tube.
Pull trigger to blow out paint in dip tube, stick dip tube into mineral
spirits and pull trigger to clean out inside of gun. Wipe off outside
of gun, disassemble gun and put parts into clean mineral spirits. Slosh
around throughly. Put on paper towel to dry. Rinse out sprayer can and
wipe dry. Leave out to air out. Don't worry about a little paint here
and there on the outside of the gun and can. Do your best, but you won't
get it all.

I may have missed a step or two, but it's not at all a bad job. Boring?
You bet! <:-)) BTW I wear latex gloves while doing this. I really
dislike cleaning spray guns after house painting.
