Hi Tom,

Chill! A curiosity, but it is not apt to fund an early retirement for you
OM!

It was produced in 1948, has eleven tubes and is a home entertainment
receiver. Which is why it has AM, FM, SW and so forth.

I wonder what it uses for a speaker, maybe speakers?

If you need more detailed information, and do not have the book by Chuck
Dachis "Radios By Hallicrafters", I can send you what he says about it Tom.

Sounds like a fun RX in any case.

Awhile back I acquired an S-55. I sure can't find a lot of info on that
model out there. Was it semi-rare or anything?

It's an AM/FM receiver in a typical Halli gray heavy-metal cabinet,
probably about the size of an S-107, maybe? Most of the top is silver
and perforated. It's hinged at the back. Slide-rule dial.

I've never seen another one, and was just curious if I should be mildly
excited or anything. :)

Tom NØJMY . .
