[Hallicrafters] Info on S-55?

Hi Tom,
 
I have seen several S-55s out there but they were not worth the effort to  
attempt restoration. If you have one in reasonable shape or better, you have 
a  difficult to find receiver.  Notice I didn't say rare. Rare, in my book, 
is  when there are only a very few known to exist, such as the S-1. Still, 
I don't  have one and would jump at the chance when a halfway decent unit 
comes  along.
