Was the S-36 built with oil caps in the power supply?  If so, they may  
well be rated at 600 or so volts.  As folks have noted, this voltage  
is likely not needed.

You can get fine caps fast from  Justradios  in Canada.  They also  
offer the line rated safety caps used at the line cord entrance point.
