[Hallicrafters] High voltage capacitor source?

You are going to have to put two 350 to 450 volt capacitors in series to get the voltage rating. Double the capacitance of the original capacitor and when they are placed in series the effective capacitance is halved but the voltage rating is doubled.
Doing this is MUCH cheaper than what you will pay even if you might find some 600 volt electrolytics (which I doubt that you are going to find these days).
Mouser, http://www.mouser.com , is a good, inexpensive, source.

I'm in need of a few 650 v.d.c. capacitors (4 uf and 8 uf) for the power supply section in my S-36A. Where/who is a good source? Most sources end at 400 or 500 volts.
