Something strange about Iceland.......
Back in the 70's when I was trying to collect the cards for a DXCC as
DA1IN I had one TF contact and I just COULD NOT
get a card out of the guy. Tried SASEs, IRCs, and green stamps
multiple times with no response. Finally got one of those books of
cheery QSL messages in 300 languages (book still available???) and
laboriously copied several lines of greetings and pleadings in
Icelandic on my card for a final try. Got back his card verifying our
contact this time with a LOT of hand written Icelandic on it. Always
wondered what he said (but maybe I don't want to know).....
