[Hallicrafters] The Halli Transistor Sistor

As was previously pointed out the phenomena was discovered years earlier.

One of Shockley's graduate students experimented with it and Shockley took
the credit.

In 1959 I worked for a spin-off of Shockley Labs and learned a lot about
what a jerk Shockley was.
