I posted earlier.  It was not received well as I commented on not 
everyone is an ARRL member.

Sorry, but I don't happen to be a member any more.  One has to choose 
where to spend their funds.

I still think the SX-88 is a very good radio.  I have NOT seen ANY 
*real* technical data.

The pricing issue is one of personal choice, and if you really want one 
or not.

I use a SP-600 for most plain listening.  The R-390A is in-line as the 
main station receiver.

Just my $0.02, for what THAT is worth in today's economy.
