[Hallicrafters] SX-88 Value Controversy Continues

My point, perhaps poorly delivered, was that no one's mind will be
changed about the SX-88 no matter how much wrangling takes place. This
is an emotional issue of collecting so it doesn't matter whether or not
the SX-88 is the best radio or whether or not litz wire is used in the
IF transformers.
I used to tell my wife that if there was a fire, I'd save her, the dog,
our son, my .45 automatic and my copy of "Frank Sinatra and Count Basie
at the Sands" - not necessarily in that order. I didn't have my SX-100
in those days. No amount of intellectual analysis could tell me what to
do in that case.
