[Hallicrafters] SX-88 Value Controversy

To me, the point of collecting Hallicrafters has never been whether or 
not it is the best brand or whether an individual model is the best 
radio.  It comes from my childhood when I was allowed to stay up late on 
Saturday night to listen to Judy Canova on my Dad's S-40A.

What difference does it make if the SX-88 is or is not the best radio? 
I firmly believe that we don't choose our enthusiasms; they choose us.
