Hi
This is a problem on some of these old radios.You will notice that by  
adjusting the ferrite cores (which are used to set the low end of the  tuning dial) 
also affects the high end.Usually one has to play with both the  trimmers and 
the ferrite cores to get the tracking close .Also usually if the  low end 
tracks good the high end goes  off and vice versa.So one has to  reach a 
compromise .
