My advice, FWIW, leave it alone. It is a FINE piece kept original. If it has
good tubes and a proper alignment it is difficult to fault this receiver. I
have one on my bench I acquired. It is about a 4 cosmetically. The previous
owner said it wasn't performing as well as it should. I put it on a variac
at about 85 volts for a day and began using it and have never touched it.
Absolutely no need to. It could benefit from contact cleaning but wiggling
offending control still gets by the problem. More important things to do.
If it isn't burned out or shorted. Leave it alone.
FWIW.
Enjoy a fine radio.
