Why not take the bus?  Greyhound and its affiliates go nearly everythere 
including the "wide spots in the road" and the one traffic light towns. Shipping 
with them is safer and in many cases cheaper. The only drawback is that you are 
going to have to di some of the work. They don't deliver or pick up from your 
doorstep.

Years ago, Heath shipped its TV kit CRTS and cabinets via Trailways or 
Grayhound. I never heard of a lost or damaged package.
