Thanks to all the Hallicrafter folks for your help.
I bought this unit on Ebay a year ago before the shipping went nuts and
am just now getting around to fixing it.
The antenna post have been blown out by lighting or an arc welder and it
looks bad.
I did fire it up and received some signals and I was amazed at that.
I have just changed out all the black beauties and red devil caps and
only found 3 that would test on my
EICO 950B cap tester. How they can all be that bad is beyond me.
Anyway I will keep you posted and if anyone has some charts for voltage
or resistance I would appreciate it.
Meanwhile I will take a look at my BAMA prints once again. The copy is
so hard to read as is marked up a lot.
Here is my web site you Hallicrafter guys might enjoy it.

Hi,
Hallicrafters did not provide a separate voltage and resistance chart in
the
manual, at least mine does not have one. They are given on the schematic.
I haven't looked at the BAMA manual but if it has the schematic, you should
find the information.
Hi Hallicrafter Folks
I am looking for a Voltage and Resistance chart for the SX-100 Mark 1A
that I am rebuilding.
I have the manual from BAMA but not that information.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

I need a new meter or at least a dial scale. Which models are the same?

I went through that exercise myself a while back and came to the
realization; the dial scale is or seems to be unique to the SX-16 and 17.
Other receives such as the SX-28 have different scales, but may work.
Without knowledge of scale size or meter movement values, it's hard to tell.
I am forwarding you picture(s) I took of a SX-17 "S" meter scale. It is a
close up of the scale and a second image of exact measurements I took with
calipers in an attempt to duplicate the scale if necessary. Close
examination reveals it may be duplicated using single sided copper clad PC
board and engraving using the images I'm sending to you.
It doesn't look that difficult to make and hope this info works for you. I
replaced my SX-17 meter entirely via a scrap dealer but I haven't seen
anymore out there for some time.

Hi All
I have both a Fluke 6060A/AN (Calibrated) and a HP
8640B (rebuilt and calibrated) I might need to sell
one of them Any opinions on one which I should keep?
They are both used as as general RF signal generators
for AM and FM work
The HP does has option # 1
Thanks
Mike
