I suspect you are trying to say that yours has 2 RF stages rather than one
in use on Band 1.

In that case I believe yours is an early version and the SX-17 schematic
should be of help as they are pretty much the same radio with the 25 using
single ended tubes. The later SX-25 as does the SX-28, eliminates the 2nd
stage in order to reduce overload.

The 17 manual is on BAMA.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] SX-25 SECOND RF COIL SOS

Hello Sons of Halligan,
I have been scratching my head for quite a while over an SX-25 I am
restoring. The broadcast band is completely dead however I have the other
bands now working well.
This particular SX-25 has a SECOND standard broadcast band RF coil
which brings the total to two. As you know, the common schematic floating
around out there only shows one RF coil for Band 1. Does anyone have a
schematic for this version of the SX-25? When I began the restoration both
RF coils for the standard broadcast band were disconnected so I am really
starting at "Square One" with the Band 1 wiring.
I own two other SX-25s however both are of the single RF coil for Band
1 variety so I can't get much hand-holding by looking at the other '25s.
Any help will be mucho mucho appreciated!

     Thanks.

     W9STB
