200 watts of AM is 67.5% more input than a pair of
6146 tubes are rated. Remember that the 6146 and
6146A/8298 are rated by RCA at 67.5 watts input each
or 135 watts input for the pair. If you are running
that as output then you are exceeding the normal
output by at least 100%.
The HT-37 manual lists the power output of the
transmitter at 17 to 25 watts depending on the band.
Now if you hit an extra zero and meant 20 watts then
that is more like it.
As for the SX-111 being the "matching" receiver it was
definitely marketed by Hallicrafters as the "matching"
receiver.

Exactly. I have a nice SX-111 that I use with my
HT-37. Perfect match and a fine receiver for both SSB
and AM work. Sometimes I use carrier insertion with
the HT-37 and run about 200 watts carrier on AM. Plus
the HT-37 has a drive control so you don't have to
deal with attenuator pads to set the output to an
amplifier for AM work. A really pretty combo that
works great. I have lots of receivers here and think
the SX-111 is comparable to many of them in
performance.
