A possible solution to the lack of a dial stringing
diagram for the SX-24 MAY be found in the SX-25
manual.
These radios are quite similar, except the 25 has 2
tuned RF stages and push-pull audio. I have restored
a 25 and have a 24 awaiting my attention, but must
admit I haven't studied and closely compared the dial
stringing; but I would bet it's the same or close
enough that it can serve as a guide.
Charles Vesser in Memphis, TN sells some excellent
Halli manual repros, including the SX-25, S-27, SX-28
and SX-73; maybe more models as well. These are done
on a printing press, not a copier, using plates made
from (as he puts it) "bone-stock originals." They are
extra clear and include a nice fold-out schematic,
plus an extra loose schematic the same size that you
can use for making notes. The stringing diagram is in
the manual.
I have no financial or other interest in Charles
Vesser's manuals; I can attest to the quality and
highly recommend them. The price isn't bad either,
cheaper than Radio Reprints. Charles Vesser usually
offers his manuals on eVilBay, but he may have a web
site.
The SX-25 stringing diagram is also on BAMA. I don't
know how clear it is as I haven't looked at it. There
is also a "corrected" socket voltage chart for the 25
an BAMA that is very helpful if you're working on one
of those; I have indeed made use of this document.
