[Hallicrafters] Did Power Line Voltage Increase from 110 to 120V?

My V here in Auburn, CA is 120 to 123, and I thought that was high for my 
old tube stuff.

I can see that more than likely its going to keep going up.

I use a variac on the bench, but I'm thinking I should use one for 
everything in the shack I'm trying to assemble.  Keep it at 117 to 120. 
Then if I really want higher, use a variac to increase it.

I have had this heavy 45 amp Variac on the floor for many years, its a 
little over kill, but I guess I'll use it.

Any helpful comments?  I know this is not the usual way of handling these 
problems.
