[Hallicrafters] S-53?

Im very familiar with the Hammarlunds, I have both here as well as a S-53A.
All recapped, resistored and retubed as needed, and realigned.

I can absolutely state that the S-53A is inferior in sensitivity on 15M. It
is however better than a S-38 (no letter). The use of a 6BA6 pentode mixer
gives it an edge over other entry level sets as previously mentioned.
