Thats incorrect.

In order to directly accept a credit card the seller has to sign up with 
a card processing company. This can get quite expensive with fees and 
all the other crap they try and sneak in. I ha to get very creative to 
get out of that contract after they started adding fees on a regular 
basis.

PayPal also offers a similar service at $30 a month flat fee which I 
switched to about 2 years ago. The buyer hasnt a clue that its going 
thru PayPal and I certainly wont tell them either!
