[Hallicrafters] H-13 Puzzle

Hello All,

I have an audio only interview where Bill Halligan, Sr. is talking about his
Ham station as a teenager of about fifteen or sixteen. He mentions having a
receiver that he calls the H-13. Now Hallicrafters did not build this model
until 1933 and it was Jim, the designer of the ill fated SX-23 and the
incredible DD1, who designed it for Hallicrafters. Since Hallicrafters did
not yet have an engineering department and production facilities, all their
models were built in Chicago, IL by the Silver Marshall Company.

I am wondering if Jim designed a different model that Bill might have been
using fifteen years earlier? After he joined Hallicrafters perhaps he
redesigned it and it became known as the H-13?

Can any of you shed any light of clairification on the H-13 and its designer
Jim M.?

Thanks.

FYI: In an earlier post about the DD1 I think I refered to the SX-24 as
being the ill fated RX, sorry, it was the SX-23.
