I'm with Dennis - a series capacitor works just fine - much is made about
nothing, concerning the dummy antenna - I suspect that one can "dummy"
one'self, by worrying about such things, sometimes.
Now, if you want to make PRECISION measurements of sensitivity and
bandwidth, perhaps the D-A will make those more accurate, but like somebody
else mentioned - most of these older receivers were made for 300 ohm
twinlead, or more likely - a piece of wire.
As one of my original "Elmers" said, back in 1960 - "Kid, it don't have to
be NBC"
