Hi to all of the asbestosis worry warts.
I spent three years in an asbestos procesing building- we made asbestos
packing for
shaft seals. The stuff came from Canada in lage bales, like hay.
We separated by hand till I got a farm type "hammer mill" which tore the
bales much faster.
I did put a high powered exhaust system in that room as the stuff was
getting in everyones
clothes. We did use face maasks-most of the time?
There have been several hundred people exposed and as of now, no known
cases of asbestosis.
The cleanup people are the ones that really cleanup!!
As long as the stuff is encapsulated it is harmless, it must be of a
specific size in the airborn
particles, not tile flors.....................let the flames begin.
anon.
