Ive read several comments about the AF xfmr. Is it especially weak? There
are replacement candidates here from PP 6V6/6AQ5 auto radios and may go that
way if the stock xfmr is HF limited. It all depends on what a AF sweep tells
me, I want good Ayem audio, not speech restricted.

Id rather not have to pull iron out to bake. I prefer a Variac and a light
bulb load across the HV with the tubes removed. Give it half a day to low
level bake.

Reading thru the notes it has been recapped to some unknown degree.

Ive always wanted a SX-28 since I was in HS in the 50's. As the kids say
today it has killer looks. I just dont want it to sound like a rappers
Honda!
