I said OFTEN unsafe. That left me wiggle room for the pseudo BA's of the
70's as well as many well cared for 50-60's examples that escaped the
Sprague Black Beauty and Sangamo Pink plague.
I drive vehicles that are older than a HQ-170.
Hammarlund never had a decent looking speaker, I use various Hallicrafters,
National, Collins, Jensen on my stuff. My favorites are the large magnet
Hallicrafters PM-23 and National NC-2TS of which I have several of each.
