Yes...exactly.

The other benefit of this slow, and careful approach, is that you notice 
things...like a resistor that's gotten too hot, like a broken solder joint, 
like a part added clumsily as a modification, like a cracked insulator.

None of these will be easily found in the "quick and dirty" blast and spray 
method.

Take your time, do it right, and enjoy the fun or working through a rig 
carefully.
The journey is the reward!
