Any kind of liquid cleaner will "wipe out" most boat
anchor dials.  It doesn't matter if it is water based
or petroleum based.  Even when cleaning with a very
soft brush one needs to be VERY careful!

Peiping, a.k.a. Peking, is now known as Bejing.

non-water based spray should not be a problem.
