OK, Don't shoot me either......
But here is the situation:
I have a Halli S-77 AC/DC receiver, it was my first SW radio and has been 
sitting on a shelf for 25 or so years......
Needless to say it needs a lot of TLC.
Way back when I learned not to grab the chassis and a ground.

WITHOUT an isolation transformer is there a good way for a self taught 
experienced technician to fix this radio?
