Thanks to all for your replies.  PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME!  I didn't realize
the original thread posting was dealing with TRANSFORMERLESS equipment. I
wish I would have kept my mouth shut and thoughts to myself because after
returning today from a business trip I discovered I had  bucketload of angry
emails from people who think I am a black mamba snake or something for what
I said about 3-wire plugs.  Please cut this northwoods Gomer a little slack
because some of these threads get awfully extensive and it is sometimes hard
to find the original posting buried way back in time. Anyway, thanks to all
for your comments and I have never NOR WILL I EVER  wire a 3-wire plug to a
transformerLESS boatanchor in the manner in which I suggested. I am quite
aware of the differences and thought we were talking about something other
than transformerless AC/DC sets.

Special thanks to the cool responses I received that simply and without
heightened emotion indicated we were talking "transformerless" versus my
suggested mod (which was for a "transformer" equipped rig).

Phew! I'm glad to get this off my conscience.
