 In "The Battle Of The Bulge" Telly Savalas (sp?) does exactly the same with

I do not know what FAX equipment was but the Japanese radio in the wooden 
chest was the Type 94-3C set less the transmitter. One was a genuine radio 
set and the others were Hollywood made clones.

Speaking of movies, the outfit that supplies the props and weapons for 
Hollywood is looking for Russian radios of the 1950s for a movie being made 
about a Russian espionage operation in the USA.
